Description

This immersive panorama shows views of sand dunes and a grove of palm trees in the Sahara desert in Tunisia. The Sahara is the largest hot desert in the world, crossing at least 10 countries (Morocco, Mauritania, Mali, Algeria, Libya, Niger, Tunisia, Chad, Egypt and Sudan), and the name 'Sahara' is derived from the Arabic word for 'desert'. Palm trees tend to grow where water is close to the surface and so are often found close to settlements where people dig wells to access water.
