Description

This panorama shows a 360 view of Giant Sequoia trees near Yosemite Museum in California. Giant sequoias have very specific climate requirements, so specific that they grow naturally only in a narrow 400-kilometre strip of mixed conifer forest on the western slopes of the Sierra Nevada mountains, primarily between 1,500 and 2,000 metres in elevation. A few rare giant sequoias have grown taller than 90 metres, but it is the sequoia’s giant girth that sets it apart. They are usually more than 6m in diameter and up to 10m across. It would take six people stretched out head-to-toe to match this width.
