Thailand Rainforest

Description

A rainforest and lake in Thailand. Much of Thailand's natural rainforest has been cleared to make way for rubber plantations, meaning that the climate is slowly but surely beginning to change all over the region. The rainforests that do remain, such as this one in Khao Sok National Park, have barely changed for more than 160 million years; this rainforest is one of the oldest on earth. It’s also home to a staggering number of mammal, bird and plant species that some say make it more biodiverse than the Amazon.
