Description

A 360 image of Bratislava, Slovakia including the famous 'Cumil' or 'Man at Work' sculpture. Bratislava is the capital of, and biggest city in, Slovakia, and is the administrative, cultural and economic centre of the country. Other names of Bratislava are Pozsony in Hungarian and Pressburg in German. In the past, Bratislava was one the most important economic and administrative centre of Kingdom of Hungary. Several kings had their coronations here, and this history is still felt in the architecture and atmosphere of today's city. Further, debate around Cumil the Sewer Worker still rages on as to what this cheeky chap is actually doing as he pokes out of a sculptural manhole in Bratislava’s old town district. The unique statue was installed in 1997 as part of an effort to spice up the look and feel of the area which was traditionally marked with drab Communist-era architecture and decoration.
