Description

Ouvéa Island is within New Caledonia in the Pacific Ocean. Here we see a 360 photograph of the Lekiny Cliffs on Ouvéa Island. The platform that the visitors are standing on was carved by the sea hundreds of thousands of years ago during the time when the atoll was being tilted by the changing sea floor. The coral skeletons that formed the cliffs are mostly eroded into smooth stone but here and there you can clearly see the coral heads and their characteristic polyps.
