'Zeleni vir' (Green spring) is a river source located in a beautiful setting. In this experience you can see the water cascading down the steep rocks, but just out of view is the emerald-green water of the small lake in a cave nearby. The waters of the lake, through a small dam, enter into an underground channel that brings the water up to the hydroelectric power plant built in 1921, which is the first hydroelectric power plant built in this part of Croatia. The area around Zeleni vir was proclaimed special geo-morphological reserve in 1962.
