The aircraft in this expereince is an ex-Aeroflot Antonov An-2, a biplane which was a venerable Russian workhorse, known for its rugged build, extremely short take-off and landing capability, and almost zero tendency to stall. They were in use from 1947 onward. This one was supposedly abandoned in Iceland after a dispute between two pilots and is now resting in a museum.
