Description

This panorama allows you to see the full unobstructed 360 panorama of the city of Reykjavík, the capital of Iceland. Taken from the top of Hallgrímskirkja church.

At 64° north, Reykjavik is characterised by extremes of day and night length over the course of the year. From May 20 to July 24, daylight is essentially permanent as the sun never drops more than 5° below the horizon. Day length is reduced to less than five hours between December 2 and January 10 and the sun climbs just 3° above the horizon during this time. However, day length begins increasing rapidly during January and by month's end there are seven hours of daylight.
