Aesop is popularly recognized as the creator of the fable, short story starring animals, allegorical and moral content. Known as "Aesop fables" were gathered by Demetrius of Falero around 300 BC. and exerted a great influence on the literature of the Middle Ages and the Renaissance. The author of these pedagogical texts, and containing such knowledge usually intended for school education, was an important figure in the field of ideas, especially for the flowering of Athenian culture.
