This mechanical time fuze was found in the possession of a Danish spy in Sweden in 1645. He eventually confessed that the time fuzes were intended to be placed inside trunks with flammable material on board two Swedish ships. The fuse has a wheel lock construction and will start a fire by igniting gun powder.
