This scene takes the form of King Stephan’s kingdom. Inside the kingdom students can explore King Stephan’s castle to learn about Princess Aurora’s childhood and curse. In addition to this, students can explore the fairy tale forest and cottage to learn about Princess Aurora’s fairy godmothers and the trials and tribulations Aurora faces on her sixteenth birthday.

# Princess Aurora’s Childhood{.objective .objective1}
In this section students can take a close look at the castle where Princess Aurora was born and how the kingdom celebrated her birth. In this activity students are asked to look closely at the scene and to think about how King Stephan and his wife felt about Maleficent’s actions?
# Life in the forest{.objective .objective2}
In this section students will look at the fairy-tale cottage where Princess Aurora grew up and learn how the fairy godmothers raised Princess Aurora in secret. Your students are encouraged to look closely at the scene and to consider the different reasons as to why King Stephan and his wife agreed for Aurora to live in the forest with the three godmothers.
# Life in the Castle{.objective .objective3}
In this section students can discover how Princess Aurora became cursed by Maleficent and see how Princess Aurora fell into a deep sleep. Students are asked to identify the object that cursed Aurora and to consider how the kingdom’s people felt when the kingdom was awoken from their deep sleep.
