A Brief History of Technology

This scene takes the form of a technology museum. Inside the museum, there are various pieces of ancient, modern and postmodern pieces of technology to look at. Students can walk around the museum and view how technology has changed overtime and be able to recognise continuities and changes to different pieces of technology overtime whilst learning about their purpose and importance in the twenty first century.

# Technology in the Twentieth Century{.objective .objective1}

In this section the use of technology throughout history will be described. The importance of technology and being able to complete tasks using different items will be outlined as weel as how they have improved humans’ ability to be more productive too. Simple technology like the abacus has been instrumental in numercy based tasks. Explroing the scene, simple items like the abacus can be identified and discussions should be encouraged to describe their use and functionaily to human tasks.

# Technology in the Twenty First entury{.objective .objective2}

In this section, more modern technology, like computers will be described. The aim is to be able to recognise the technology, their function, but importantly describe how they helped humans carryout every day tasks. Following on from that, students should use this information to explain how these modern items have changed how the tasks ae carried out, particularly if they had previous versions.

# Future Technology{.objective .objective3}

In this section descriptions of possible future technology will be highlighted. Examples of visionary tech will be outlined and how they will work, especially I the continued pursuit to improve humans’ ability to complete tasks productively and efficiently. Particular focus will be drawn to the humanoid robots and how they may mimic human actions to complete tasks.
