# The Journey of the Amazon{.objective .objective1}
Students will learn about the source and destination of the Amazon. They will learn about the importance of the extensiveness of the river’s basin being the largest in the world. Students will be asked to think about the clues that the river has a large basin.
# The Habitats of the Amazon{.objective .objective2}
Students will learn about the different habitats that can be observed along the extensive length of the Amazon. They will learn the importance of the rainforest as the most extensive environment around the Amazon. Students will be asked to think about how the rainforest provides an ideal environment for biodiversity.
# The Creatures of the Amazon{.objective .objective3}
Students will learn about the wildlife that can be found along the Amazon and the rainforest around it. They will learn the impact of deforestation on habitat destruction, therefore endangering animals. Students will be asked to identify the animals within the rainforest and how they determine which ones are mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds.
