The Greek Gods and Goddesses

Welcome to Mount Olympus, the home of 12 important Greek Gods and Goddesses. The ancient Greeks had a particular set of beliefs that helped them to understand themselves and the world around them. Each Greek God or Goddesses stood for something, and the ancient Greeks would worship specific Gods for varied reasons.

Students can observe the top of Mount Olympus and explore an environment that belongs to the ancient Gods and Goddesses.

Students can learn about the 12 deities who are said to reside at Mount Olympus. Students can explore the scene and identify objects that represent each God and Goddess.

# How were the Ancient Greek Gods Worshipped? {.objective .objective3}

By exploring the scene, students should be able to create some inferences about how the Ancient Gods were worshipped. They should be able to discuss concepts such as offerings and think about how people worship Gods and Goddesses in the twenty-first century.
