In this scene, students can explore different border and boundaries that exist across the world in the twenty first century. Students will be able to explore open and closed borders and understand how politics and conflicts have had an impact on them and shape them across the years.

# What is a Border?{.objective .objective1}

In this section a border will be described as a boundary between to areas of land. This can be natural boundaries, such as lakes, rivers, or mountains, as well human made boundaries, such as walls, barriers and various forms of fencing. Students will explore and learn how these boundaries are used to control movement across one area to another.

# Border Control{.objective .objective2}

In this section border controls and the type checks will be described. Students will explore and identify the types of check carried out at border controls and learn why the checks are carried out.

# More Walls{.objective .objective3}

In this section the extent of the security put in place at border controls will be described. Here students will learn that political agendas, conflicts, disagreements between nations, and security determine the extent which a borer is controlled. Students will explore the scene and evaluate the impact different levels of security and restrictions in across borders have on movement od civilians and trade goods.
