The scene lets students explore the Baltic Sea and its importance to the Polish economy. Here, students will see an overview of the Baltic Sea with ferry and shipping routes leading to and from various ports in Poland and other countries. Students will also be able explore tourist resort locations, fisheries and wind farm locations while learning about their significance to the Polish economy.

# The Baltic Sea{.objective .objective1}
Students will learn a that it is surrounded by many European countries, particularly Scandinavia. Students will be asked to consider the importance of Poland’s coastline position relative to the Baltic Sea.
# Maritime Economy{.objective .objective2}
Students will learn about the development of the passenger ferry routes and container ship routes connecting Poland’s ports to many international partners, and the transport of a range of resources. Students will be asked to explore the scene and identify clues that the shipping routes extend internationally.
# Maritime Economy{.objective .objective2}
Students will learn the long-term projects that Poland are developing in providing alternative energy in Europe. Students will be asked to explore the scene and consider why offshore wind energy in the Baltic Sea is reliable. They will be asked if larger offshore wind farms would affect the ferry and shipping routes, and the fishing industry.
