This scene takes the form of the island located in the Mediterranean sea as mentioned in the play, The Tempest. On the island students can visit Alonso’s ship, Caliban’s rock, Ariel’s pine tree, Brine pit and Prospero’s cell. Students will be able to walk around the island and identify items and artefacts that relate to the three themes presented in the book.

# Magic{.objective .objective1}
In this scene students can learn about Prospero and his daughter Miranda. Students will learn about how they ended up on the island and how Prospero created a tempest. In this section students are asked to enter the scene and consider why Shakespeare included witchcraft within his play.
# Freedom{.objective .objective2}
In this scene students can learn about how several characters in the play have no freedom. In this section students are asked to enter the scene and identify an item at Caliban’s rock which links to the concept of slavery.
# Empathy and Forgiveness{.objective .objective3}
In this scene students can learn how Prospero does not show empathy at the start of the play but is taught it throughout the play. In this scene students are asked to enter the scene and consider how Ariel uses his powers to help Prospero.
