In this section, a description of genetically modified crops will be provided. The principle of inserting a desired gene into the crop being modified will be covered and the impact it has on its characteristics.

In this section, the impact of GMOs will be described. An evaluation of the pros and cons of GM crops will be outlined, and the need to regulate its use being important to avoid socioeconomic issues, health issues and environmental issues.
