**Lesson Objectives**

L.O.1 – In pairs or small groups, students can practice speaking skills in the supermarket setting. They can be directed to different roles within the supermarket for example, shop staff, and customer. Draw your students’ attention to the aisle signs to prompt their conversations about what they would like and where they could find it.
L.O.2 – Students can be directed through the supermarket aisles and encouraged to use vocabulary for items they see. They can consider what language shop staff would use at the tills.
L.O.3 – Students can formulate dialogue to ask shop staff where to find food items and for shop staff to be able to direct them.
