L.O.1 – In pairs or small groups, students can practice speaking skills in the airport setting. They can be directed to different roles within the airport for example, security, shop staff, and customer/tourist. Draw your students’ attention to the departures boards to prompt their conversations about where they would like to go. L.O.2 – Students can be directed through the airport to the different areas (check-in, security, departures, and baggage collection) and be encouraged to use vocabulary for items they see. L.O.3 – Students can formulate dialogue to discuss travel plans using the future tense.
