**Biology** An interactive model of an animal cell. Explore and learn about the structure of this typical animal cell. **Lesson Objectives** 1. Be able identify the parts of an animal cell. 2. Be able to describe the structure of a typical animal cell. 3. Be able to compare the animal cell to other cells and describe the similarities and differences. L.O. 1 – Draw students' attention to the model of the animal cell. The model can be interacted with, and the different parts can be moved. L.O. 2 – Group discussions should take place to discuss the role of the structure of the cell. The parts that can be removed from the model have specific functions. Students should be able to compare this cell to other typical cells such as plant and prokaryotic cells. L.O. 3 – Students should access the links suggested to explore other types of cells. Observations should lead to comparisons where similarities and differences between cells are identified. # Download the Teacher Notes and Student Quiz on Animal Cells [](https://data.avncloud.com/activities/804816/files/Eduverse%20Animal+Cell+model+Teacher+Worksheet.pdf?date=1687429853&size=485637&md5=35b70b60e3a8a9e1d2534bd542f27359)
