Plural Endings (-s, -es, -ies)

The Avantimos Aliens have been causing trouble in the grocery store! Invite your students to this interactive scene to practice their plural suffixes with sorting activities in a supermarket environment.



# Objectives:

Understand what is meant by plural and singular.{.info}

Identify objects that use the plural suffixes of –s, -es and –ies.{.info}


# Ending with –s{.objective .objective1}

The definition of what it means to be plural is provided. To make a verb or noun plural we add an –s to the end of the word. There are exceptions to this which are discussed.

Students should look around the supermarket and find movable food items that should have an –s ending to make them plural. Next to each movable food item will be three marked areas displaying the –s, -es and –ies suffixes. Your students should move the item to the correct marked suffix.
