Quentin has been experimenting in his lab again, but it’s all gone awry! He’s called Cassia who has brought her cousin, Billie the Bullet, to help him bring order to his lab. Using bullet points, Billie will need your help to re-order Quentin’s experiments!

# What Are Bullet Points?{.objective .objective1}

Direct students to the student information which provides guidance on using bullet points.

The characters in the scene include Quentin (Question Marks), Cassia (Colons), and Billie the Bullet (Bullet Points). Cassia and Billie are cousins. This is to connect the idea that colons are used with bullet points and are placed before them to introduce the list/summarised information.

# Quentin’s Experiments{.objective .objective2}

The scene has three tables in Quentin’s lab for three different experiments.

Experiment One: The Volcano

Students are tasked with picking up and snapping the following words back into place on the blank labels on the wall behind the volcano:

- **Vent**
- **Crater**
- **Throat**
- **Conduit**
- **Magma Chamber**

Experiment Two: The Fruit Salad

Students should snap the following words back to show the ingredients of the fruit salad (this includes the title with a colon):

- **Fruit Salad:**
- **Banana**
- **Grapes**
- **Strawberries**
- **Melon**
- **Apple**
- **Orange**

Experiment Three: The Good Scientist Guide

Students should be directed to snap the following text back into place on the page of The Good Scientist (this includes the title with a colon):

- **A Good Scientist:**
- **Loves science and scientific exploration!**
- **Is detail-oriented.**
- **Asks lots of questions and considers all the facts.**
- **Is patient and accepts that sometimes things do not go to plan!**

**Assignment**

Write a fact-file on yourself using bullet points. Include:

- **Favourite food.**
- **Books or films you like or dislike.**
- **Music that you like.**
- **Places in the world you would like to visit.**
