Description

Nothosaurus is a medium-sized marine reptile. The length reaches a maximum of 3‒4 meters. The genus is characterized by a longer neck, prolonged flat skull, and jaws possessing longer needle-like teeth. Limbs are not yet fully modified into fin-like paddles. The length of the tail approximately corresponds to the length of the neck.
