Massospondylus lived 200‒185 Ma in the South African territory. The animal was 4‒6 meters long and herbivorous. Its weight did not exceed 140 kg. The walk was probably partly bipedal. The arms were smaller, the long neck possessed a relatively smaller head, and the tail was long and thin.
