Liopleurodon is a representative of larger marine reptiles with lengths up to seven meters. The weight was estimated to reach 1500 kg. It belongs among Pliosaurs, typical marine reptiles with significantly enlarged skulls and short necks. It also had four paddle-like limbs and a relatively short, massive tail.
