Description

Liopleurodon is a representative of larger marine reptile with length up to 7 metres. The weight was estimated to reach 1500 kg. It belongs among Pliosaurs, typical marine reptiles with significantly enlarged skull and short neck. It had also four paddle-like limbs and relatively short massive tail. Liopleurodon was an inhabitant of the Middle to Upper Jurassic seas of Europe.
