Anhanguera belongs to a medium-sized pterosaurs with reduced tail (pterodactyloid line). The wingspan exceeds 4,5 meters and the weight up to 30 kg. skull is markedly prolonged, with characteristic crests at the lower and especially upper jaws. Teeth are long and slender. Anhanguera is known from the Lower/Upper Cretaceous deposits (112‒95 Ma) of Brazil.
