Description

Anhanguera is a genus of medium-sized pterosaurs with a reduced tail (pterodactyloid line). Its wingspan exceeds 4,5 meters, and its weight is up to 30 kg. The skull is markedly prolonged, with characteristic crests at the lower and especially upper jaws. Its teeth are long and slender. Anhanguera is known because of Lower/Upper Cretaceous sediment deposits (112‒95 Ma) in Brazil. ## Keywords Mesozoic, Cretaceous, pterosaurs
