Inoceramids are an extinct group of pteriomorph bivalves. They form a massive shell of different shapes with the typical growth lines forming concentric elevations/ribs. The internal shell structure is characterized by calcitic prisms. Representatives of Inoceramids that lived in the Cretaceous period (ca 130‒66 Ma). The largest shells exceeded almost 1,5 meters.
