Therizinosaurus

Description

Therizinosaurs is one of the largest theropods. The length exceeded 10‒11 meters, and the estimated weight was 4‒5 tons. The genus is known only from the discovery of the front limbs, parts of legs and foot and rib fragments. The front limbs were extremely long ‒ 2,5 metres, possessing abnormally developed up to 1 meter long claws. Therizinosaurus lived in the Upper Cretaceous Mongolia (72‒68 Ma).
