Description

In **rotational motion**, all points of a body (clock hands) move along in **circles**. The centers of the circles lie on a **single line** (the axis of rotation). The points move along circles ‒ curves, therefore the movement of each point is **curvilinear**.

With the translational motion, all points of a body (the car headlights, left and right corner of the windscreen and the trunk) move along lines or curves. The translational motion can be **linear and curvilinear**.
