Center of Mass

This model presents a way of finding the **center of mass** of an **irregularly shaped, non-symmetrical object**. We need to drill a small hole into the object and hang it up. The object has to **hang free without any obstacles**. Then we hang a **plumb line** from the same suspension point and we **mark the vertical line** it created. We repeat the process with additional holes. The point at which two marked lines cross is the center of mass.
