Description

The extension cord is a flexible cable with the plug at one end, and one or more sockets on the other end. Is used to connect electrical appliances into the outlet. The model presents a single-phase power strip with a plug on one end and multiple sockets at the other end. The sockets are connected in parallel (side by side). Parallel circuit contains nodes. Electric voltage between two nodes is the same for all branches, while electric current passing through the branches may be different and depends on the resistance of the components in the branches. Breaking the circuit in one branch (shutoff) doesn't mean interrupting the circuit in another branch (another appliance continues to run) .
