Description

If we have an object with a standard regular geometric shape we can calculate its volume by measuring its dimensions and using the relevant mathematical formula. The volume of irregular solids can be measured by immersing a solid in water and measuring the amount of liquid that was displaced. The displacement method is still the standard way to determine the volume of an irregularly shaped object.
