Description

This model represents some of the **perpetual motion machines**. A perpetual motion machine is a hypothetical machine which can do work **indefinitely without an energy source**. According to laws of **thermodynamics** we know that it is impossible to create this kind of machine. Although it is often discussed, people have been trying to find the way how to construct it for hundreds years.

We introduce four types of perpetuum mobiles. In fact there are tens of proposals. We can classify the perpetual motion machines by refering to the particular law of thermodynamics the machines purport to violate. Our models are focused on a perpetual motion machine of the first kind. **They produce work without the input of energy**. They thus violate the first law of thermodynamics:** the law of conservation of energy**.
