Description

The Vitruvian man is a pen drawing on paper by Leonardo da Vinci. There is the naked figure of a man in two positions In the middle, inscribed into a circle and into a square.

The original image describes the relationship of the body proportions:

A palm is four fingers, a foot is four palms, a cubit is six palms, and four cubits make a man. These units are obsolete and mostly not used nowadays.

Rather, the international SI system is currently used. There are 7 base units (meter, kilogram, second, ampere, kelvin, mole and candela) and number of derived units (derived from base units) in the SI system.
