An orthorhombic crystal system is characterized by three axes (a, b, c) of unequal lengths, where all axes are perpendicular (intersect at 90° – angles α, β, γ). Mineral examples include e.g., sulfur (occur in a monoclinic form), olivine, barite, antimonite, marcasite, epsomite and aragonite.
