Description

Carbon in nature is found in three forms called allotropes: diamond, graphite, and fullerenes. This collection contains a range of carbon structures that are used for various purposes given their properties.

The more familiar allotrope graphite is a great place for students to begin their study of carbon, and the crystal structure of diamond is waiting to be held and explored using ARCube. Buckyballs can be used as a great introduction to the fascinating world of nanoscience, while Lonsdaleite provides a captivating project for students to research further.
