3.2.1 - School & Environment - Students explore the world of the target language and develop openness and tolerance for language, people, and the various target-language cultures. Different cultural practices are interrelated. The children's first languages are given particular importance, for example, through the inclusion of vocabulary or sociocultural knowledge. Students recognize that they can use the foreign language in vacation situations, not only in English-speaking countries. They can also perceive English as a language of communication in Germany if English is the common language of their conversation partners.
