The Ghost Festival is held during the seventh month of the Chinese calendar. During this month, it is believed that the gates of hell are opened up and ghosts are free to roam the earth where they seek food and entertainment. The Chinese opera is one of the many events that happens during the Chinese Ghost festival period. This event was hosted at a park next to the Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate.
