Their family is very poor and cannot afford to buy any food, so their parents leave them alone inside a forest. In this activity students are asked to enter the scene to identify any items that would help Hansel and Gretel find their way back home? # Running away{.objective .objective2} In this section the Gingerbread Man runs down the path and other characters notice how yummy he looks, and they join in the chase. The Gingerbread Man is very quick though. He says: “Run, run, as fast as you can, You can’t catch me, I’m the Gingerbread Man!” Students should try to follow the path out of the kitchen. As you walk down the path, who might start to follow the Gingerbread Man? # The river{.objective .objective3} In this section the Gingerbread Man has almost got away from everyone chasing after him when he arrives at a big problem – a river. Your students can investigate the edge of the river. Why can’t the Gingerbread Man get across the river by himself?
