Life in The Bronze Age

This scene takes form of a Bronze Age workshop. The workshop takes the form on a roundhouse which is made from wot and daub. Inside the Roundhouse there is a fire in the centre to provide warmth, cooking and light. Outside the Roundhouse, there is an area where people in The Bronze Age complete their daily work, such as: Drying Hides, chopping wood and fashioning garments. Students will be asked to explore the scene to gain an understanding of what it was like for someone to live in the Bronze Age.

# What was it like to live in The Bronze Age?{.objective .objective1}

Here students can learn about the key features of a Roundhouse ( a house that the majority of society lived in during this period.) Students will be able to identify key roles and think about who was responsible for gathering food supplies and firewood.

# How was Bronze Made? {.objective .objective2}

Students can observe the process of melting copper and tin together to create bronze. Students will also be able to identify objects which have been made out of Bronze and discuss why this metal was so important.

# Why is The Bronze Age an important historical era?{.objective .objective3}

The Bronze Age is considered a turning point in history and it changed the way people lived. Here students can discuss what advantages would tribes that used bronze have, over tribe that did not have bronze.
