The scene takes the form of an invertebrate world where the characteristics unique to them can be observed. The characteristics used to classify invertebrates can be explored within the scene where a range of examples are visible to compare. # What are Invertebrates?{.objective .objective1}
In this section, a description of invertebrates will be provided. Invertebrates are characterised as having no backbone. The different types of invertebrates are outlined, with a general description provided.
# Examples of Invertebrates{.objective .objective2}
In this section, examples of invertebrates will be outlined and described. Each will have the main characteristics making it an invertebrate highlighted as well as characteristics categorising them into their out invertebrate sub-group.
# Classifying Invertebrates{.objective .objective3}
This section describes how a classification key works. By observing and binding a knowledge of the characteristics of the various invertebrates, students will discuss and build classification keys. The key principle is to create questions that have a yes or no answer regarding whether the invertebrates have the key distinguishable features, and create a flowchart.
