Ancient China - Shang Dynasty

The scene lets students explore the Shang Dynasty in ancient China. By observing the various artifacts, buildings, and landscape, they will learn about the Shang Dynasty and their achievements, life during the Shang Dynasty, and the highly organised army of the Shang Dynasty.

# The Shang Dynasty{.objective .objective1}

Students will be able to learn about where the Shang Dynasty was located as well as their achievements that are still influential today, like writing, maths, astronomy and the 12th-month calendar.

# A Powerful Enemy {.objective .objective2}

Students can explore the scene and observe some key artefacts that relate the Shang Dynasty. In addition to this students can observe clues in the scene that identify the ruler to be wealthy as well as having an army that was well organised and powerful.

# Life During the Shang Dynasty{.objective .objective3}

The strict social class that existed during the Shang Dynasty determined what jobs citizens had and their place in society. Students will be able to identify clues that emphasise a class system. This includes food and drink items that would have been consumed.
