by STEAM3D

Description

Bird's-eye speedwell is a perennial plant commonly found in meadows, gardens, and open woodlands. It grows to a height of 10 to 40 cm (4–16 inches). The stem features two opposite rows of hair that help channel water away from the leaves. The inflorescence forms a raceme with 10–30 flowers that close at the onset of rain. The calyx consists of four fused sepals, with a dark blue corolla and a white center. Each flower has two stamens. The fruit is a flattened capsule containing two seeds. ## Keywords vascular plants angiosperms eudicots mint family ceae Veronica chamaedrys
