Uniforms worn during World War I were designed for both practicality and durability. Typically made from wool, the uniform often consisted of a tunic, trousers, and a distinctive "Brodie" helmet, which offered protection from shrapnel. The tunic was typically khaki in color, a shade chosen to blend in with the environment, and featured brass buttons and a belt. Soldiers also wore leather boots and carried basic equipment like a water bottle, rifle and bayonet.
