This resource is only available as part of a pack

Description

This scene is set in a London Underground station during the blitz of World War Two. it features people sheltering from the bombing above including makeshift bedding on the tracks and families huddled together under blankets. While, in reality, London’s underground stations would have been much busier than this, students can explore how people may have stayed safe and kept themselves entertained while sheltering from German bombs. The walls of the station are also decorated with examples of World War Two posters and propaganda.

The scene contains:

- An underground station, styled like a station in the London Tube network from the 1940s

- Replicas of genuine British propaganda posters from World War Two
