Vaisakhi

Vaisakhi is an important Sikh festival that is celebrated each year. Vaisakhi is often celebrated on 13th or 14th April and is a time when the Sikh community come together and commemorate the founding of the Sikh community. Students can explore the Gurdwara and learn about how the first Sikh community was founded. In this scene students are asked to explore the Gurdwara and identify the symbol of Sikhism and consider its meaning. # How is Vaisakhi Celebrated? {.objective .objective2} In this section students can learn about how at the start of Vaisakhi Sikhs will visit the Gurdwara wearing the 5ks.
