Halloween, also known as All Hallows’ Eve or All Saints’ Eve, is a celebration that takes place each year on the 31st of October and is a combination of different cultural influences and traditions. In this scene, students are taken on the path of a haunted hayride Halloween attraction, where they will observe imagery associated with the holiday celebration.  # Objectives: Understand the origins of Halloween.{.info} Explain what Halloween celebrates.{.info} Describe how haunted hayrides are associated with Halloween.{.info} # What is Halloween and how is it celebrated?{.objective .objective1} Students will learn about the origins of Halloween to gain an understanding that the holiday has roots in ancient Celtic and Christian traditions. They will be able to compare how the ancient traditions have evolved into the modern practices that take place in many countries today. They will be asked to walk through the trail and identify Halloween-themed imagery. # Haunted Hayrides{.objective .objective3} A haunted hayride is considered a Halloween attraction that is commonly held in the weeks in the run up to Halloween. It is designed to give participants an exciting and immersive experience combining jump-scares with spooky imagery.
