Haunted House

Halloween, also known as All Hallows’ Eve or All Saints’ Eve; is a celebration which takes place each year on the 31st of October and is a combination of different cultural influences and traditions. In this scene, students are taken through a Halloween haunted house attraction where they will observe imagery associated with the holiday celebration.  # Objectives: 1: Understand the origins of Halloween.{.info} 2: Explain how Halloween is celebrated.{.info} 3: Describe a haunted house attraction.{.info} # What is Halloween?{.objective .objective1} Students will learn about the origins of Halloween to gain an understanding that the holiday has roots in ancient Celtic and Christian traditions. They will be asked to walk through the trail and identify Halloween-themed imagery. # How is Halloween celebrated?{.objective .objective2} Students can compare how the ancient Halloween traditions have evolved into the modern practices that take place in many countries today.
