The scene takes the form of a festive setting; Christmas! A period of Advent, where homes are decorated with various items as well as represented by items in the Christian church; these items are symbolic and recognise specific Christian values. Usually starting a few weeks before Christmas Day, it is a period of penance (Nativity Fast) and preparation. All culminating in the celebration of the ‘Coming’ of Jesus Christ. Advent is celebrated by many Christians around the world. It is common for families to come together and celebrate through various traditions. Examples include: Using Advent calendars, liturgical colours and special services.
